Ekua Hayfron-Benjamin specializes in project finance, banking, mining, corporate and commercial law. Prior to establishing Ashong Benjamin, Ekua was partner with Reindorf Chambers, a leading Ghana law firm. She brings to the Board extensive experience in cross-border finance transactions, banking and power natural resources law, providing legal support to a number of banks,  mining companies and other entities in their operations transactions. Foreign entities seeking to make equity and other investments in Ghana have relied on her for advice and expertise. Ekua is recognised in IFLR1000 as a leading lawyer and ranked in Band 1 – Corporate/Commercial for Ghana in Chambers Global.

Ekua holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) from the University of London and a Certificate of Legal Education (LEC) from the  Hugh Wooding Law School, St. Augustine, Trinidad. She was admitted to practice law in Trinidad and Tobago in 1986 and has been a member of the Ghana Bar Association since 1992.
